St.Martin's GP Campaign

Helen Morgan is continuing her campaign to bring GP services back to St.Martin's. The previous GP practice closed in 2020 after it was deemed unsuitable for social-distancing when the pandemic began.

Unfortunately, a decision was made in early 2022 to close the site permanently. “I understand that the previous building may no longer be suitable as it is, but that’s no excuse to remove GP services from St. Martin’s and Ifton Heath entirely,” says Helen.

“Not everyone can jump in a car and go whizzing off to Chirk when they’re unwell, not to mention the many patients with mobility issues. I will continue to campaign on this until residents in St. Martin’s and Ifton Heath get some local GP services, even if it’s just part-time.”

“I support Helen Morgan’s calls for St. Martins GP practice to be reopened or replacement GP services to be opened in St. Martin's, even if they are just part-time.”
