North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan has praised local steam wagon enthusiasts after a visit to the last run of the summer near Welshampton.
The county has a proud industrial history, which includes the hosting of a number of steam fairs and rallies every year.
One of these runs is from Fenns Bank to Welshampton near Ellesmere, where the MP joined local operator Tom Attwood.
Helen Morgan, MP for North Shropshire said, “It was a genuine delight to be invited along to a steam wagon ride-along for their final run of the season around Welshampton at the weekend.
“The autumn sun was glorious, and it was fascinating to see the vehicles and talk to their owners about how they are keeping an important part of our rural and industrial history alive.
“Thank you to Tom and all the other local vintage steam wagon enthusiasts for having me along.”
