Helen Morgan and the Liberal Democrats have put forward a bill in Parliament that would give the Health Secretary a legal duty to ensure patients are admitted within 12 hours of arriving at A&E.

Every week more than 30,000 people suffer degrading waits of over 12 hours in A&E in England.

In Shropshire almost a quarter of patients waited more than 12 hours in 2025. Helen has raised many of their stories in Parliament.

To support her campaign, Helen has launched a petition and is urging North Shropshire residents to sign the petition today.
