Sort out the A483

Helen Morgan is calling on the Government to sort out the A483 with common-sense safety improvements. Many residents in Llanymynech, Pant, Llynclys and beyond are fed up of living on a dangerous, fast road without proper crossings and often poor footpaths.
One of the biggest concerns on the A483 is Llynclys Crossroads. This infamous junction sees frequent accidents and Helen has been pushing hard for major changes. She is also working closely with National Highways on this.
While a bypass remains a possibility in the long term, Helen has been calling for urgent improvements to make the existing road safer.
This includes:
- Taking urgent action to make Llynclys Crossroads safer
- Introducing lower speed limits between and through villages on the A483 and ensuring all speed limits are enforced
- Installing a new pedestrian crossing in Pant and improving footpaths wherever possible.
National Highways have now designed plans for a new roundabout at Llynclys and also have plans to improve safety along the A483 – we just need these approved and funded by this Government.
Action must be taken before someone is killed - not after.
